# Duda AI Chatbot for Agencies and Client Sites

To add an AI chatbot to a Duda site, open Settings → Header HTML, paste your InsertChat install code into Body End HTML, and save. Duda offers custom code on its Team plan and higher. Each client site can get its own branded assistant that answers website chat and phone calls from one workspace.

## One assistant per client, managed from one workspace

You build a roofing company’s site on Duda. In InsertChat you create the roofer’s assistant with its services, service area, and storm-damage FAQs, its logo and colors, and its booking calendar, then paste its install code into Body End HTML. The roofer’s chats and calls land in a shared inbox that your team or the client can work from.

A website install adds the chat to your pages without signing in to your Duda account or reading its data.

## Setup

1. **Copy your install code.** Open your assistant’s website install settings in InsertChat, choose HTML or custom website as your website platform, and copy the installation code.
2. **Paste it into Body End HTML.** In the Duda editor, open More → Settings → Header HTML, paste the code into Body End HTML, save, and publish the site.
3. **Verify and test.** Run Verify on your website in InsertChat with the published URL of the client’s site, then open the chat and ask the questions your customers ask most.

## Which Duda plan do I need to add the chatbot?

Duda’s support center says custom code is available on Team plans and higher. On those plans you can add site-wide code in Header HTML or code for a single page.

Yes. Each client gets its own assistant with its own knowledge, branding, and install code. Pro includes 3 assistants, Growth 20, Scale 50, and Enterprise 100.

## Why use Body End HTML instead of Head HTML?

Duda suggests body-end placement so scripts don’t delay the main content, and notes that consent management apps can’t hold back code placed in the head. The install code also loads the chat script asynchronously.

## Can the client’s phone calls go to the same assistant?

Yes. Add a phone number to the client’s assistant and it answers calls from the same knowledge. Each paid plan includes one phone number; additional numbers cost $10 per month each.
