## From a booking request to a Calendly meeting

A customer asks for a consultation on your website or by phone. Your assistant checks the available times for the Calendly event type you selected, collects the customer’s details, and books them as an invitee. It can also look up scheduled events and invitees, and cancel an event when a customer asks. Bookings do not run until you choose the event type the assistant should use.

## Setup

1. **Connect your account.** Find Calendly in the InsertChat app catalog and authorize the account you want to use.
2. **Choose the actions.** Select the supported actions your assistant needs and review the connection’s permissions.
3. **Test the workflow.** Try the customer flow and confirm that actions, approvals, and handoff work the way your team expects.

## What can my assistant do in Calendly?

It can list your event types, check available and busy times, and book an invitee into an event type. It can also look up scheduled events and their invitees, and cancel a scheduled event. Rescheduling is not one of the supported Calendly actions.

## Why isn’t my assistant booking Calendly meetings yet?

Calendly bookings wait until you choose the event type your assistant should book. Select it in InsertChat, then test a booking and check that the time, duration, and meeting location match your Calendly settings.

## Which Calendly account should I connect?

Connect the Calendly account whose event types and availability customers should book. You authorize it in the InsertChat app, and actions run with that account’s own permissions. Connected services such as Calendly may have their own charges.
